Maison Margiela AW15

If there was ever a designer match made in heaven (apart from Moschino & Jeremy Scott) it would have to be John Galliano and Maison Margiela. Showing his very first ready to wear collection for MM just last night, it was as though the universe had returned to how it should be, and the fashion world felt whole once again.A mad creative genius, Galliano provides a theatre like no one else, comfortably making his audience slightly uncomfortable. Models donned unkept hair, with some wearing neon coloured wigs and clown-like makeup representing the awkward and uncomfortable. Were they witches or street scum or simply crazies on acid? Who can say, but either way the tattered, torn and slightly crazy Maison Margiela girl who stormed down the runway, desperately paranoid, is covered in Galliano trademarks; obscure styling, unexpected layers and perfectly tailored pieces. All together.

If you don't see/understand the greatness of JG or even the name 'John Galliano' is somewhat of a mystery to you, then catch yourself up and read a post I wrote on him a few years ago here
