My Everyday Makeup Bag
So as I'm cleaning out my makeup bag this afternoon, I had two thoughts - 1: My full makeup collection is excessive - I did work in cosmetics for many years so #justified and 2: I love knowing what products other people use and love which led me to this very post.So here it is, a comprehensive list of the products I use/alternate between every day and therefor cannot live without.
Before I go into whats what though, I should mention that my everyday routine (for which I use the below products) is pretty simple, very natural and completely do-able in 5-10 minutes tops.
complexion
After cleansing & moisturising, I always start with a primer and depending on my mood I switch between a few. Foundation is next and I like mine super light, barely there and just enough to even out my skin tone but still sheer enough for my freckles to come through. Concealer goes on the eye lids and under eye so needs to have good coverage without looking cakey. I have 2 shades: One for summer tanned skin and one for winter white skin.I always set my base with a sheer powder & then use bronzer/highlighter to add some dimension and then always a little cheek colour on the apples.What: M.A.C Strobe creamWhy: It's the ultimate primer for truly luminous skin with serious sheen.

What: M.A.C StyleWhy: This shimmering golden orange colour is one of my all time fav cheek colours.
What: M.A.C BuffWhy: Matte nude cheek colour for when I want something more neutral or I'm not wearing bronzer.
EYES
Unless I'm heading out or have an event, I keep my eyes pretty simple, and tend to stick with neutrals.I usually wash a nude colour over the eye lid and will sometimes use a shimmery brown, coral or nude pink if I feel like my eyes are looking a little dull. I tend to skip eyeliner for work (unless I've got extra time) and go straight to mascara. A little colour & definition to the brows and I'm done.

LIPS
Try as I might, maintaining my lipstick all day erryday, never happens - anyone who says they do, is lying. But, when I do attempt it I've got a few go-to colours and products.

What: M.A.C Patent Polish in Revved UpWhy: My fav coral nude lip colour with a shiny finish.
What: Hailey Baldwin Modelco Gloss in BeigeWhy: I don't wear much gloss these days but this is the best nude colour for when you don't want to wear lipstick.
