Current Shelfie

A couple of months ago I decided it was time to take my skincare up a notch. No more wishy washy half-arsed stuff - I've been 29 for a few years now and it's time to start seriously tackling the anti-age shizz. So here's my current #shelfie and the products I'm giving a whirl in an effort to keep my skin in check and prep for the oncoming multiple years of being 30.

A few callouts have to go to:

Lixir Vitamin C Paste, which I'm bloody loving sick. I smear this on my face in the morning while getting ready and voila, 5 mins later I'm glowing thanks to the hit of Vitamin C.

Drunk Elephant T.L.C Baby Facial. I've used this for almost 2 weeks now and so far it's definitely living up to it's hype. It tingles (which I love cos you can feel it doing something) and leaves your skin feeling refined, as though you've had a facial. And FYI, it's not available in Australia - I used Australia Post ShopMate and got mine from the US Drunk Elephant site.

Go-To Transformazing masks are a delightful burst of water for my skin when it's feeling dehydrated and drab.

Le Lift V-Flash is formulated to instantly tighten the skin around the neck and décolletage (an are which I'm obsessed with as I feel this is always an age giveaway area) and maybe it's in my head, but I really feel like it does. Remember those serums from tv infomercials (and shopping centre walkway pop-up stores) in the early 2000's that would instantly tighten the skin? Kinda like that but not as severe and ridiculous.

I recently upgraded from 35+ to 50+ in my daily sunscreen given my renewed focus on tackling the ageing factor. Mecca Cosmetica To Save Face 50+ Sunscreen is a dreamboat because it protects without giving you a whitewashed Shane Warne-on-the-cricket-pitch look. Also acts as a great makeup base.

Youth to the People recently sent me a pack of their products, so I'm currently trying their Moisture Cream, Eye Cream, Serum, Mask and I've been using their cleanser in the AM's for a few months now. I'll keep you posted on my thoughts after a month or so as obvs skincare won't impact anything overnight but so far so good - I'm really liking the moisture cream in particular, so far.
